GIWEH is joining a special conference hosted by the Middle East And North Africa Network of Water Centers of Excellence (MENA NWC) to discuss the different possibilities of collaboration and cooperation within this frame, from May 9-11, 2016. The event, which will be held in Aqaba, Jordan, will work to address regional water issues and regional cooperation among centers in the MENA region and other interested centers in Europe and the US. Ministers of water from Arab countries, as well as the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League, have been invited to participate in this conference. The World Bank, SIDA, and USAID will also participate in the event. GIWEH plans to present their vision of supporting the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda Goal 6 at local and regional levels while at this conference and will largely focus on the aspect of sustainable development within water issues.
