GIWEH will be Participating on 2nd Asia International Water Week (AIWW) as a Board of Governance of Asia Water Council. Dr. Nidal Salim, Director General of GIWEH is the Champion for Knowledge Base and Dissemination. The Other Specific Committee Champions are Asia Water Partnership (AWP), Korea Water (K-Water), Royal Irrigation Department(RID) Thailand and The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
The AIWW is a triennial regional water gathering to share practical solutions to solve Asia Water Problems, which is organized by Asia Water Council (AWC) in collaboration with Host Country. Where regional water problems discussed throughout the three years of preparatory process will be raised as primary issues of Asian Water Communities and will be disseminated to Global Water Communities with Action Plans and Solutions. 1st AIWW was held at Gyeongju HICO of the republic of Korea on September 2017.
