Participation in the 7th World Water Forum Kick-off Meeting

The Global Institute for Water, Environment and Health represented by its Director Dr. Nidal Salim took part in the 7th World Water Forum Kick-off Meeting (Daegu, South Korea).

The Meeting was hosted by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, World Water Council and organized by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Daegu Metropolitan City, Gyeongbuk Province, and Korea Water Forum.

The Kick-off Meeting offered a taste of the 7th World Water Forum to come, with around 400 participants representing stakeholders from all horizons, and will serve as the official launch of the 7th World Water Forum. The Kick-off Meeting provided an initial sampling of the issues that should be addressed at the 7th World Water Forum based on surveys and interactive discussions.

The results of the Kick-off Meeting will provide valuable input to the design of the 7th World Water Forum and to the two-year preparatory process to come. The Forum aims to contribute to creating a new path for human co-existence by addressing water challenges around the globe, discovering how to implement discussed solutions together and sharing knowledge and expertise.
