GIWEH co-sponsored the Tabarka International Forum on African Development (TIFAD), from April 28th-May 1st, 2016, in Tabarka, Tunisia. The vision for the event was to promote optimism, research, and investments between international and inter-African partners. Additionally, the conference allowed African decision-makers to learn about major recent events within African development, and help to prepare them for similar events in the future. GIWEH was represented by Dr. Nidal Salim, Mr. Adrien Oleszkiewicz, and Mr. Tobias Schmitz, who networked with various African stakeholders, and presented their upcoming project with UTAP (Tunisian Union for Agriculture and Fisheries).
