GIWEH attended the Middle East and North Africa Network of Water Centers of Excellence (MENA NWC), during a three-day workshop from May 9th – 11th, 2016, in Aqaba, Jordan. The workshop was specifically organized to design interventions for Jordan’s water sector in response to the Sustainable Development Agenda. In order to contribute to this goal, GIWEH’s Director General (Dr. Nidal Salim) presented the Flagship Project, “Support 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.” This event provided an opportunity for GIWEH to meet representatives from regional excellence centers and donor organizations and strengthen its network in the region. Other participants included the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League, Dr. Hazem El Nasser (Minister of Water and Irrigation in Jordan), and other Ministers of Water in other Arab countries.
