Mr. Tobias Schmitz represented GIWEH at the European Development Days from June 15th -16th, 2016, in Brussels, Belgium. Organized by the European Commission, this event brought European development experts together to interact, share experiences, and create partnerships to solve urgent problems. Mr. Tobias Schmitz presented a working GIWEH project intended on aiding refugees in Turkey to Mr. Norbert Schwarzer (Head of Programs for Refugees at GIZ, a German development agency. As GIZ expressed interest in the project, GIWEH remains in contact with them since the conference.
