As a follow-up on Tunisia 2020, GIWEH officially started the preparatory phases of its strategic project Water for Rural Development  in Tunisia.
During our stay in Tunisia we conducted field trips to visit the lands where the project will be developed and implemented. Additionally, GIWEH was pleased to meet with its local partner, the Tunisia Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (UTAP) to discuss the potential involvement and integration of Tunisia’s ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources to the project. The conversation also addressed how to efficiently collaborate in order to achieve the project’s goals and to potentially scale up the project to other regions of the country.

GIWEH has already scheduled its next visit to Tunisia to take the project on the next level.
