Dr. Nidal SALIM attended on behalf of GIWEH to the 2014 Creating Shared Value Forum, which took place in Lausanne, Switzerland on 9 October 2014.
This was a meeting that Nestle hosted in partnership with the United Nations Council for Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
This meeting was designed to stimulate thinking on how the private sector can address some of society’s most pressing challenges. Influential thought leaders from the business, non-profit and public sectors who are committed to improving nutrition, ensuring good stewardship of scarce water resources and building inclusive prosperity came together to address these challenges. The goal was to discuss on how governments worldwide can work together with civil society and the private sector to accelerate sustainable development.
