As a member of the Scientific Committee, GIWEH is proud to announce the completion of the first ever Palestine International Water Forum. The event was held from the 25th to the 28th of June 2018 in Ramallah under the slogan “Integrated Water Resources Management: Best Practices and Technology Transfer”. Held under the auspices of the Palestinian Water Authority, the Forum aims to provide an opportunity to learn about new tools, technologies and best practices developed in support of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) implementation as a main approach to achieving water security in Palestine and in the wider region.
Dr. Nidal Salim, Director General of GIWEH, attended the three-day event as a member of the Scientific Committee and as a keynote speaker of session 14 on the topic of "Building Independent State from the Water Point of View; Opportunities and Challenge & Water Integrity & Management of Public Private Partnership". The event represents a milestone in the development of water resources and management in Palestine and we at GIWEH look forward to the continuation of the process.
