GIWEH Director General, Dr. Nidal SALIM presented two Water Governance modules to participants in the Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) at the Graduate Institute in Geneva in February/March 2015. The Water Governance module covers a range of political, social, economic and administrative issues that influence water governance, and affect the development and management of water resources and the delivery of water services at different levels of society. Participants discuss ways by which to diagnose and bridge major “gaps” in water governance, achieve greater policy coherence and capacity building, and turn failures into success stories.
The participants in the two sessions come mainly from Africa, Caucasian and Central Asia, South and Central America, and South East Asia.
