Just after the Pope's UN speech, the General Assembly approved the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development commonly known as the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Goal #6 is water and sanitation, and water is cited in several other goals as well. Several background reports have analyzed the water content of the SDGs:
