On 1-7 December 2013 the GIWEH has conducted an Intensive Training for Young Leaders “Water Resources. Policy and Management”. More than 30 specialists from the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Iraq participated in this training. International specialists with diverse experiences participated in the training and shared their experiences. This programme offered theoretical and practical experience in water resources management and leadership development. Additionally the Program provided its participants with specific writing and research skills necessary to draft successful project and research proposals. It provided young leaders an opportunity to be involved in international activities, new concepts and methodologies concerning Integrated Water Resources Management.
