As the Korea International Water Week (KIWW) is approaching (October, 19th-22nd, 2016 in Daegu, Korea), GIWEH is excited to take part in this international water event with this year's theme of “Water Partnership for Sustainable Development.”
This yearly event will take place for the first time in 2016 and was proposed by the Korean Government during the 7th World Water Forum. It aims to ensure the successful implementation of future sessions of the World Water Forum and explore cooperation plans for addressing major water-related issues in the international community.
GIWEH, as a strategic partner of KIWW’s organizers, is actively taking part in the organisation of the event. As the Vice-Chair of the Knowledge Base and Dissemination Special Committee of Asia Water Council (AWC), GIWEH is coordinating and presenting during the Thematic Session “Promoting water sustainability through sciences, knowledge base and education for the achievement of water-related SDG targets in Asia” to take place on October 20th, 2016.
More details to come soon. For further information visit kiww.org or download the programme here.
