The 22nd session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22) was held from 7 to 18th November in Marrakech. The conference provided a platform for cross-sector stakeholders to come together to build the future, draw roadmaps and plan actions to implement The Paris’ Agreement.

Dr. Mohamed Aloui, GIWEH‘s Senior Advisor in Hydrology and Climate Change, and Mr. Mbaruku A. Vyakweli, member of GIWEH’s advisory board as well as of the World Water Council, represented GIWEH at the event.
They participated in special sessions and high-level discussions on Water (November 9th) and African (November 16th) days, as well as in activities focusing on civil society, climate change and rural development. GIWEH’s current strategic project in Tunisia share these themes.
